Grange-over-Sands B&B

At the very south-eastern tip of the Lake District National Park, you will find a village that also qualifies as a seaside resort dating from Edwardian times. Sometimes overlooked by those opting to stay in B&B accommodation in the better-known parts of the Lake District, Grange-over-Sands is a wonderful secret you may want to keep to yourself.

It enjoys a unique position on the Cartmel Peninsula. You can look out on the sea to the south and the mountains of the Lake District to the north, and yet you are still just a few short miles from many of the area’s most famous attractions. Head up the A590 to the north-west, for example, and you’ll reach the southern tip of Lake Windermere and Newby Bridge in a mere 10 minutes.

This is also the area to stay in if you are keen to visit some of the local nature reserves. The Roudsea Wood and Mosses National Nature Reserve is off to the south-west, while the Whitbarrow National Nature Reserve is only about 15 minutes away. As such, Grange-over-Sands is perfect for nature lovers and those who want to see the sea as well as the mountains.

Your Grange-over-Sands B&B will be a great place to return to each night. Affordable guest houses, B&Bs and other properties are dotted about the area and fit into various price ranges. Book into an affordable bed and breakfast in Grange-over-Sands or opt for a more luxurious option. We have a selection that is sure to include the right choice for you.
